Lingholm Kitchen & Walled Garden

A stunning cafe and shop that looks down onto an octagonal walled garden in The Lingholm Estate in Portinscale. Stop off here on a walk around Derwentwater. Or hop off the Launch directly at the Lingholm jetty, or a short walk from Nichol End and Low Brandelhow.

The kitchen serves delicious locally sourced foods, artisan breads and home baked cakes, real barista coffee and an extensive range of teas.

From their breakfast serving, a blend of traditional and healthier dishes with twists, a well thought out lunch menu to an afternoon tea to rival the best, the Lingholm Kitchen aims to offer the best day time eating experience in the area.

The Octagonal walled garden sits on the same spot as the old Lingholm Kitchen gardens which Beatrix Potter credited as her inspiration for Mr McGregor’s garden in The Tale of Peter Rabbit.
